IIThe house

We set up where
the cloth is made.

More fabric leaves Surat than any other city in India. Dyeing houses, embroidery units and finishing works sit shoulder to shoulder in Udhna Udhyog Nagar — and since 2021, so have we.

That address is the whole business model. We buy at the source and have the embroidery done a few streets away, which means no agent, no wholesaler and no showroom markup standing between a mill and the person who will actually wear the garment.

We dress women, men and children for the occasions that get photographed — weddings, Eid, Diwali, the first day of school. Traditional pieces can be made to your measurements, and we will match jewellery to the cloth rather than leaving you to guess.

Buy where the cloth is made, and the saving belongs to the customer — not to the chain of hands in between.

  6. You

Every stop between the loom and the shop adds a margin, and none of them ever meets you.

  3. You

Cut, embroidered and finished inside the same industrial estate the cloth comes from.

The patterns we work in
  • Zari

Brocade banding woven in metal thread

  • Boteh

The curled cypress that became paisley

  • Bandhani

Every dot a knot, tied before the dye

  • Buti

Sprigs printed with carved wooden blocks

  • Ikat

Yarn dyed to pattern before it is woven

  • Temple border

The stepped edge of a south Indian sari

IIIWhat we do

Four things, done
properly.

  • Send us your measurements, or a garment that already fits you well and we will work from that. Choose the cloth first and we will tell you honestly how it will hang before anything is cut. Your measurements stay on file for the next order.

  • Most families come to us with a date and a function list rather than a shopping list. We work backwards from that — building one palette across every outfit so the group photographs well, and keeping the childrenswear light enough that it survives the day.

  • Zari reads warm and fights cool-toned silver; oxidised work disappears against a dark ground. Tell us which garment you are pairing and we will pick against it, or send you a few options to hold up to the fabric yourself.

  • Everything is finished in Udhna, a short walk from where the embroidery is done, so adjustments do not have to travel. If a piece cannot be altered without spoiling it, we will say so rather than take the work.

IVThe catalogue

Eleven pieces
currently on the floor.

Stock changes weekly — a handloom piece is finished when it is finished. Anything shown here can also be remade to your measurements.

11 pieces
Handloom brocade, pure silver zari

Woven on a pit loom over eleven weeks. The kadhwa technique cuts each motif separately rather than floating the thread behind the cloth, so the reverse is as clean as the face.

Hand-embroidered on mul cotton

Thirty-two stitch families exist in chikankari. This panel uses six, worked white-on-white so the pattern reads only when light crosses it.

Tie-dye with abhla mirror work

Each dot is a knot tied by fingernail before the cloth meets the dye. A skirt of this size carries a little over nine thousand of them.

Couched metal thread on raw silk

Worked on an adda frame with a hooked needle. The weight is deliberate — zardozi should hang, not float.

Handspun, handwoven cotton

Khadi breathes because the yarn is spun unevenly. We cut it half a size generous and let the first wash bring it to you.

Double ikat, resist-dyed yarn

In double ikat both warp and weft are dyed before weaving. The soft edge on every motif is the weaver aligning two patterns by eye.

Hand block-printed cotton

Ages two to ten. Printed with carved teak blocks and mud-resist, so the colour softens with every wash rather than fading.

Appliquéd ribbon trim

Gota is flattened metal ribbon, folded and stitched into shapes. Light, unlike most festive childrenswear, which is the point.

Uncut stones set in 22k-plated silver

Kundan setting uses no prongs. Purified gold foil is worked cold around each stone until it holds — a technique older than the Mughal court that refined it.

Oxidised silver, granulation

The dome is raised from a single sheet. Granulation — those beads along the rim — is fused without solder.

Flat diamond with pearl drop

Polki is diamond in its natural cleaved state, unfaceted. It catches less light than a brilliant cut and looks warmer for it.

VCommissions

Three ways to
have it made.

Cloth prices move with the market, so we quote per order instead of publishing a list that would be wrong by the time you read it. Nothing below is a package you must take whole — tell us what you need and we will price it.
